The Reception Team have created a blog (we hope it works). We have now changed the log in so that when you log on you will enter Purple Mash. From here you can enter Mini Mash or if you want to access the blog, click on Sharing, then Shared blocks and click on the red Reception door. We hope you enjoy it.

*New* Try some of the White Rose Early Years maths activities. We use White Rose Maths in Reception alongside Ten Town and Numberblocks. The maths units have been planned around stories. If you don't have access to the books, the activities can be done without them or look on YouTube to find the read aloud stories.

Fine Motor - Disco Dough

Disco Dough Make some playdough, put on a great song and have a dance whilst developing fine motor skills. Watch Shonette Bason's video to learn the moves. Reception's current favourite songs are Tones and I - Dance Monkey and The Allergies - As we do our thing.

Try this playdough recipe for a good long lasting, no cook dough. We used it during our reptile topic and it is very easy to make. It can be used without colouring or split peas/lentils as a normal playdough.

Reading

World Book Day Have a look in the resources Nursery and Pre-School as well as some of the Primary activities) and videos (Early Years: The Big Little Book Corner) tabs. Have a look at the Share a Story Reading Stars Game (for younger bookworms) and see how many different reading stars you can complete.
